ARCTICare sees the industrial nations of the world taking responsibility for the impact of climate change on the lives of indigenous people far removed from the causes of global warming but who suffer disproportionately to its consequences.

OUR MISSION

The Kalaallit and Inuit culture is at risk and their youth face a different life from their parents.  Marine mammals, including walrus, seals, and marine birds face potential extinction due to climate change.

OUR EFFORTS

ARCTICare is working to help the Kalaallit and Inuit people adapt to the current impact of climate change on their way of life, and to prepare them for the anticipated changes associated with increased temperature changes and the rise of sea-levels.  

We are a grassroots organizations that began as a youth movement, composed of students concerned about the welfare of people impacted by climate change.
